It is crucial to note that even if you upload a portrait image containing a human face, Cutee will not collect, extract, or record any facial information from it—this includes but is not limited to facial feature data, facial contour information, facial landmark points, or any other data that can identify or characterize your face.

We do not use any facial recognition technology, facial detection algorithms, or similar technical means to process the portrait images you upload. The only purpose of processing the uploaded portrait images is to convert them into Q-version emoji styles through our image-to-image technology, and this conversion process does not require or involve extracting any facial information. All processing of the portrait images is completed in real time during the emoji generation process, and no facial-related data will be retained after the emoji is generated.

1.2 Technical Information Automatically Collected

In order to ensure the stable operation of the app and optimize your user experience, we may automatically collect some non-personally identifiable technical information when you use Cutee. This information does not directly point to or identify you individually, does not involve any facial information, and mainly includes:

• Device-related information: Such as device model, operating system version, device identifier (e.g., IMEI, IDFA, Android ID), memory capacity, and screen resolution. This information helps us adapt the app to different device configurations, fix compatibility issues, and ensure that the emoji generation function runs smoothly on your device. None of this device information is associated with your facial features or facial information.
• Usage behavior information: Such as the functions you use (e.g., template selection records, image upload frequency), the time and duration of using the app, and the network type (Wi-Fi, mobile data) when using the service. When you choose to share the emojis generated by Cutee to mainstream social platforms (such as Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, etc.), the relevant social platform may provide us with limited sharing status information (e.g., whether the sharing is successful). This information is only used to confirm the effectiveness of the sharing function and optimize the sharing experience, and we will not obtain other personal information from the third-party platform without your explicit authorization. Importantly, we will never request or obtain any facial information from third-party platforms, nor will we share any content involving your facial information with them—because we do not collect or store such information at all.

2. Clear Statement on Not Collecting Facial Information

To eliminate any doubts you may have about whether Cutee collects facial information, we hereby make the following detailed explanations and commitments, clearly stating that we do not collect any facial information in any link of the service, and each commitment is supported by strict technical measures:

• First, Cutee does not have any functional modules or technical components used to collect facial information. The app’s code and technical architecture do not include facial recognition, facial detection, facial feature extraction, or any other functions related to facial information collection. We have not developed, integrated, or used any third-party facial information collection tools or APIs, and there is no technical possibility of collecting facial information.
• Second, when you upload a portrait image, the image is only used for the single purpose of generating Q-version emojis. The image-to-image technology we use only processes the overall style of the image (such as converting real images into cute or ancient style Q-version images) and does not target or analyze any facial features in the image. During the processing, no facial data will be extracted, stored, or transmitted—even temporarily. After the emoji is successfully generated, the original uploaded portrait image will be processed in accordance with our storage rules, and no facial information will be retained in any form.
• Third, we do not store any facial information in our servers or your local device. Our server storage only involves the necessary data to ensure the normal operation of the service (such as the technical information mentioned above and the temporary storage of uploaded images during emoji generation), and there is no database, file, or any other form of storage space used to store facial information. Even the temporary cached data generated during the use of the app does not contain any facial-related content, and the cache will be automatically cleared after you close the app or after a certain period of time.

• To ensure the stable operation of the app: By analyzing the collected technical information and log information, we can promptly find and fix system vulnerabilities, resolve compatibility problems between the app and different devices, and ensure that you can use all functions of Cutee smoothly. This analysis process only involves technical data and does not involve any facial information.
• To optimize the user experience: We summarize and analyze the usage behavior information (on an aggregated and anonymized basis) to understand which templates and functions are more popular with users. On this basis, we can optimize the template library, adjust the function layout, and provide you with services that are more in line with your preferences. The aggregated and anonymized data does not contain any personal information, let alone facial information.
• To provide sharing services: We use the limited third-party sharing status information to ensure that the one-click sharing function works normally, so that you can quickly share the generated emojis to the desired social platform. This process does not involve any facial information.

We will never use your information for commercial promotion activities such as sending advertisements, and the entire process of using Cutee will be free of any advertising interference, which is also an important part of our commitment to protecting your user experience and privacy. At the same time, we will never use facial information (which we do not collect) for any form of user positioning, identification, or other behaviors.

4. How We Store Your Information

We take strict storage measures to ensure the security and confidentiality of your information, and formulate a reasonable storage period based on the purpose of information use. It is particularly emphasized that our storage system does not have any modules or space used to store facial information, and we will never store any facial-related data.

4.1 Storage Security

We use industry-leading technical security measures, including data encryption, access control, and security audit, to protect your information from unauthorized access, modification, deletion, or leakage. For example, the images and texts you upload will be encrypted during transmission and storage, and only authorized technical personnel can access them for necessary maintenance work, and relevant access behaviors will be recorded and audited. Even during the encryption storage of uploaded portrait images, we will not extract or store any facial information from them—only the original image (used for emoji generation) is stored temporarily, and no facial data is separated or saved.

4.2 Storage Period

• For the images and texts you upload, we will only store them during the period when you are generating emojis. Once the emojis are successfully generated and you have saved them to your local device or completed the sharing operation, we will automatically delete the original uploaded images and texts from our servers (unless you choose to save the production project in the app, in which case we will store the relevant materials only for your next editing needs, and you can delete the project at any time to clear the stored materials). It is important to note that even if the original uploaded image contains a face, the stored image will not be processed to extract facial information, and when the storage period expires, the entire image will be deleted, and no facial-related data will be retained.
• For the automatically collected technical information and log information, we will store them for up to 6 months. After the expiration, we will anonymize the data (delete the information that can be associated with a specific device or user) and then delete or use the anonymized data for function optimization. This anonymized data does not contain any facial information, and the entire storage and anonymization process does not involve any facial-related content.

4.3 Storage Location

Your information will be stored on secure cloud servers managed by professional service providers. The servers are located in regions that comply with international data security standards to ensure that the storage process meets the requirements of data protection and security. The cloud server provider we cooperate with has also signed a strict confidentiality agreement with us, which clearly stipulates that they shall not collect, extract, or store any facial information related to Cutee users, and shall not use any technical means to obtain facial data from the stored information.

5. Sharing, Transfer and Disclosure of Your Information

It is particularly emphasized that since we do not collect any facial information, there is no possibility of sharing, transferring, or disclosing facial information in any of the following circumstances:

The shared information will only be the data necessary for the agreed purpose, and will never include facial information (as we do not have it).

7. Protection of Minors' Information

If a guardian finds that a minor under his/her guardianship has uploaded information through Cutee without permission, he/she can contact us through the following contact information.
